Week 6 : Continued Progress

This week marked the arrival of our last components needed for our project. With this arrival, fellow S-STEM scholar Mario Diaz and I have begun the wiring of our watering pot. The procedure is simple, connecting the cathode and and to a ground and power sources, so now it is a matter of determining what is the most reliable for the arduino to handle.

Testing out the water pump, and checking for any contamination in the water

When connecting the water pump to a low voltage,it whined momentarily before begrudgingly dispensing water. The higher output for it works as well, but it needs a reliable source of power.
