Week 11 : Nearing the End
This week marks the completion of my poster for the upcoming ASU symposium that several of the scholars and I will be attending. Below will be a link to the poster.
As for the usual work, my partner are currently looking to reinforce the casing for the Aquino. The goal is ultimately still use cardboard, the issue now is making it water resistant. One possible solution we have considered is to coat the Aquino in plastic dip. It should make it water resistant, however, it could also prove to make it less malleable. Because of this, we are also exploring other possible solutions, say several coats of general use water resistant materials (glue, cloth, plastics).
It's crazy how time just snuck up on all of us and next week we have ASU Symposium and then the Conference in Nevada. I was wondering why you are using cardboard if it brings challenges with resistance to water. Is your goal to make it cost ineffective or are you wanting to try using available materials?
ReplyDeleteA little bit of both, making it out of recycled materials has both a positive connotation and is much cheaper than 3d printing it.
