Week 13: Short Circut

This week, the project has decided to take a few steps back to address the issue of power we have been experiencing for the past month or so. To summarize our current power supply is enough to power both the pump and arduino, but we have to start to calculate the amount of energy moving to use a proper resistor. Due to the fact that we are using a diode, it is imperative that we have a good read on what amount of energy is going through it. If not, then it is likely that they are going to continue to pop.

*Update, after I was writing this I learned about relays. A relay is an automatic switch that switches energy when conditions are met. As this is exactly what I need I ordered one in a heart beat.
